"We got a runner!" those words were still blasting in her mind, like a siren pulsing over and over but also continuously, as she leaped from her bedroom window and took flight. The signal came through just seconds ago and when she got it Ace transformed and sprang into action just like she'd practiced. There was a map too, and once she'd climbed enough to get above the rooftops she focused on it, reserving just about enough attention for flying to keep going straight. "Intercept! Anyone?" the next part of the message got her attention and when she returned a little focus to it the disjointed words resolved into "Anyone close enough to intercept!?" The map had some dots on it, glowing in some colors that she'd never seen with her eyes. The big one was a 'corrupted'-colored dot, and the little one kinda nearby was a 'me'-colored dot. There were others, with the colors of more magical girls, but nothing else was any closer. "Me," she sent back at the broadcast. Her message felt really

"Shine on!" she cried out, lifting her face and raising her arm and closing her eyes, and a beam of light poured down upon her. She lifted, floating slightly off the ground as the light seemed to grow, engulfing her from all directions. She lifted her other arm too and started to turn, slowly twirling as the light grew brighter and brighter. In moments it was too bright to see anything more than the shadowed outline of her slender and voluptuous figure, and in moments more not even that. Then the light faded even more suddenly than it appeared and there she was, floating over the grass, beautiful. "Here they come, Crimson. Keep everyone back." she called back in a confident tone, her voice breathy and somehow ethereal as always, ever so beautiful. "Right," Crimson hopped in place, spinning her wheels and glancing from the line of trees over to the street. The last of the civilians were already mostly clear and hiding behind the cars there, with just a few of the braver ones peeking
